Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov was fined $5,000 by the NHL for roughing Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Alex Vlasic during Boston's 5-4 overtime win on Saturday.

The fine, announced Sunday, is the maximum allowable under the league's collective bargaining agreement.

Listed at 6-foot-7 and 244 pounds, Zadorov punched Vlasic in the face during a scrum while Vlasic was down on the ice, drawing a four-minute double minor for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct.

Zadorov, 31, has four assists in 14 games this season and 48 points (six goals, 42 assists) in 176 career games with the Bruins.

He has totaled 194 points (53 goals, 141 assists) and a plus-61 rating in 818 career games with six NHL teams.
